Spot the International Space Station

This widget provided by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) lets you choose your location to find out when the International Space Station (ISS) will be visible to you as it passes overhead. The ISS is the third brightest object in the sky. It looks like a fast-moving plane to the naked eye but flies at a much higher altitude (400 km) and a much faster speed (27,000 km/h). However, it is not always visible every time it passes overhead, especially during daytime. The best time to spot the ISS is a few hours before or after sunrise or sunset as it reflects the sunlight and contrasts against the sky.
